UFC Fight Night 37 Results: “One punch” Picket Uses Takedowns To Secure A Decision Win

By bjpenndotcom - March 8, 2014

A debut for both fighters, Picket at flyweight and Seery in the UFC, proved to be successful for each of the men.

Seery came out and delivered in his UFC debut, which he took on short notice, by bringing the fight to Picket with big hard punches that landed often.

All three rounds looked eerily similar. The fighters stood and beat each other up with punches until Picket used his wrestling to take Seery down.

While on the feet, they seemed equally matched with both men stunning the other with huge punches. The difference ended up being Picket’s ability to get the fight to the mat. Picket had at least one takedown in each round, with two in the third.

Result – Brad Pickett def. Neil Seery via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)
