UFC Fight Night: Sonnen vs. Shogun Post-Fight Bonuses

After such an exciting night of fights, the UFC’s Twitter page just tweeted that there would be five bonuses in total.

Knockout of the Night: Matt Brown and Travis Browne
Submission of the Night: Michael McDonald and Chael Sonnen
Fight of the Night: Brad Pickett/Michael McDonald

Matt Brown and Travis Browne were both issued Knockout of the Night bonuses for their performances inside the octagon tonight. Matt Brown knocked out Mike Pyle 29 seconds into the fight and proved why Dana White calls him “Mr. Fox”. Travis Browne had his hand raised after he knocked out Alistair Overeem with a front kick and some hammerfists.

Two submission of the night bonuses were handed out as well. Of course, Chael Sonnen was awarded one of the bonuses with his guillotine victory over Shogun Rua. Michael McDonald was awarded the second after he forced Brad Pickett to submit with a triangle choke.

Even though he came up on the short end of the Submission of the Night, Brad Pickett will still walk away with a bonus. Fight of the Night was awarded to Pickett and McDonald for their scrappy back and forth bout.
