UFC fighter Julianna Pena arrested
A UFC women’s bantamweight fighter has been arrested after allegedly fighting outside of a bar early Sunday morning.
26-year-old Julianna Pena, winner of season 18 of The Ultimate Fighter was arrested and charged with two counts of assault by the Spokane Police Department in Washington. In a report from MMA Fighting, Cpl. Jordan Ferguson of the Spokane PD said that Pena was arrested at 2:20 a.m. Sunday morning and booked at the Spokane County jail at 2:53 a.m. via online jail inmate information.
Ferguson said that the police were called to the report of a fight outside of a bar in downtown Spokane. After an investigation, Pena and another suspect were arrested. Pena revealed to police she was a professional fighter at the scene of the incident.
Pena was released after posting $2,000 bail on Sunday afternoon.
The UFC is aware of the situation and is currently doing more investigations of their own on the incident.
Pena holds a professional record of 7-2 and is on a three-fight winning streak in the UFC.
