UFC FN 63 Results: Johnson Dominates Abdurakhimov, Gets 1st Round Win

Heavyweights Shamil Abdurakhimov and Timothy Johnson did battle in the second bout of the night.

Abdurakhimov suffered a point loss in the first round due to grabbing the fence one too many times. The referee’s penalization was questionable as he never verbally warned Abdurakhimov of the fence grabbing, but he did admonish him by slapping his hand several times.

It turned out, however, the deduction would not matter and Johnson would finish things early.

Johnson took Abdurakhimov down and quickly gained full mount. Johnson fired off bombs and Abdurakhimov was doing nothing but turtling up. The referee gave him opportunities to fight back but ultimately had to step in and wave the fight off.
