UFC on FOX 14 Results: Seery Outlasts Beal and Earns Decision Win
UFC in Stockholm got off to an early start today as the event kicked off at 4:00 PM on the east coast. Chris Beal made his flyweight debut this afternoon as he stepped into the octagon against Irish fighter Neil Seery in the first bout of the day.

Both Beal and Seery left it all in the octagon tonight. Even though you could tell Beal’s cardio suffered from the weight cut, he fought through it and put on a winning performance. Seery’s actions inside the octagon were just as impressive and he fought for the finish today. Seery attempted to submit Beal with a guillotine, straight armbar, kimura and arm triangle all from unlikely positions. Beal’s ability to escape was just as impressive as the submission attempts.
When all was said and done, it was Seery’s ability to control the center of the octagon and dictate where the fight went that earned him the unanimous decision victory. It was evident that the weight cut hindered Beal’s performance, but he is someone to look out for in the flyweight division.
Neil Seery def. Chris Beal by way of Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)
