UFN 80 Results: Rose Namajunas submits Paige VanZant in round 5

The UFC Fight Night 80 main event featured a women’s strawweight battle between Rose Namajunas (3-2 MMA) and Paige VanZant (6-1 MMA).

Rose Namajunas was able to dominate Paige VanZant in tonight’s main event fight.

Namajunas was not only able to score takedowns at her leisure, but she completely picked VanZant a part in the stand-up game.

Paige was able to show off her toughness and unbelievable heart in this contest, but she just could not match the technical striking and grappling of Rose.

Namajunas attempted a variety of submissions on Paige, but “12 guage” was able to defend or escape all of her attempts. That is until round five, when Rose locked in a rear-naked choke the Paige could not slip out of and was forced to tap.
