Weidman Blasts Belfort: He’s Becoming Like A Horse
UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman did a pre-fight media scrum today leading up to his title defense against Lyoto Machida. During the course of the interviews, talks shifted to Chael Sonnen’s recent failed drug test, where the champ said:
I feel like it, hopefully is just going to be the begginning of what’s been going on. I feel terrible, you know, Chael came out with his first statement, he got completely on my side, I think. I could understand where he was coming from. Vitor, Wanderlei, I wasn’t on their side. I think they’re obviously doing something. And Vitor got tested, he was way over on the TRT or whatever it is. But, Chael I felt bad for.
Then those second tests came and it’s just, like, I still love Chael to death, but it just kind of opens up your eyes with what some guys could be doing. And it pissed me off. So, I want guys to be tested as much as possible; blood tests, whatever can be done.
Talks then shifted to Vitor Belfort, who is also a top ranked middleweight, Weidman said:
You know, it’s hard for me to even think about Vitor at this point, but if I’m fighting Vitor, he’s gonna be tested. He’s been caught twice now, he looks… Last time I seen him I saw on the back, right by his shorts, there was, like, a little tail hanging out. He’s becoming like a horse, he’s got so much testosterone. I guess that wasn’t funny. I think he needs to be tested as much as possible if he’s been known to fail tests.
