White: I Didn’t Imagine Anybody Could Do That to Pettis

Fans and media alike labeled Rafael dos Anjos as the heavy underdog walking into UFC 185, and with good reason. Anthony Pettis could have arguably been the pound-for-pound best fighter in the company until the first round of the fight started. It was all downhill from there.

Even after the fight finished, Dana White still could not believe what had just happened. He didn’t think ANYBODY in the division could dominate the former champion like Rafael dos Anjos had done.

During the post fight press conference, White mentioned, “I didn’t imagine anybody could do that to Anthony Pettis. I didn’t think that could happen with anybody.”
