With Jason Injured, Jeremy Stephens Pulls Out Of UFC Fight Night 29
He’s back and he’s forced two withdrawals from UFC Fight Night 29.
Rony Jason and Jeremy Stephens were both scheduled for a clash in the UFC’s featherweight division, however, BJPENN.COM learned yesterday that Jason withdrew his bid on the card due to a lumbar hernia.
While at the time, it was unclear what the UFC would do with Jeremy Stephens, overnight we learned that the former lightweight fighter suffered an injury of his own and without a booked opponent took the opportunity to also bow out of the event.
Stephens was originally going to battle through his ailment and make the fight in the best condition he could, but after word of his opponents cancellation reached the San Diego resident he decided to halt the UFC’s hunt for a replacement and heal his ailments.
