WWE Superstar calls out Conor McGregor — ‘I would walk over him!’
The worlds of professional wrestling and mixed martial arts don’t clash often, but when they do the result tends to be entertaining. When Brock Lesnar first announced he would be stepping foot in the octagon, fans of the UFC never thought he would become the UFC Heavyweight Champion so quickly. The beast has an incredible background in amateur wrestling and he utilized that to take his opponents to the ground where he could pummel them with him insane fists.
Now, WWE Superstar Sheamus is calling out UFC Interim Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor. Of course, this fight will never happen as Sheamus weighs in at 267 pounds, but it’s still entertaining to hear them talk trash about each other!
In a recent interview with The Sun, Sheamus was asked whether he would take on fellow Irishman McGregor. “Would I take him (if I had to)? Absolutely. Course I would. No one could take me. No one’s better than me. I could walk over anyone.” To the surprise of nobody, his answer showed no signs of backing down. “We might be able to sell Croke Park out. I wouldn’t waste (our fight) on a scrap in Temple Bar, I’d waste it in Croke Park.”
This wasn’t the first time Sheamus spoke ill of McGregor’s name, however. The two previously engaged in a Twitter war that broke the internet and actually got Sheamus into some trouble with management at World Wrestling Entertainment. The drama has since blown over.
Conor McGregor is currently preparing for the biggest fight of his career with Jose Aldo at UFC 194 in December. The contest will unify McGregor’s Interim Featherweight Championship with Jose Aldo’s undisputed title. Who do you think will walk out of the octagon with their hand raised?
