VIDEO | Fighter taken to hospital for excessive vomiting following thunderous low blow
A low blow is against the rules but that doesn’t mean you won’t see it happen every here and there on accident.
Here, we take a look at the quick Road FC 39 fight between Aorigele and Myung Hyun-Man, which took place in Seoul, South Korea earlier this month.
The bell rings to start the fight and the two heavyweight fighters square off and meet in the center of the cage. At the seven-second mark, Hyun-Man fires off a kick just as Aorigele throws a punch. Both fighters connect, however, Hyun-Man lands one of the most thunderous low blows in recent memory. Just the sound of impact is more than enough to give any man a sore stomach.
The fight was ended as Aorigele was in severe pain from the groin shot and the fight was ruled a no-contest. According to MMA Junkie, Aorigele was taken to the hospital for excessive vomiting in the result of the low blow. Road FC officials told MMA Junkie that Aorigele was released from the hospital “shortly after his admission,” also stating that the fighter did not suffer any “lasting or permanent damage.”
