Earlier this month in Brazil, interim UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway realized a dream as he defeated Jose Aldo to secure the undisputed featherweight title after TKOing the featherweight kingpin in the third round of their headlining title fight.
The fight was an extremely interesting one, with Aldo coming out aggressive in the opening round, and nearly finishing Holloway in the first round with a spectacular combination that would have finished most opponents. Holloway began to connect with Aldo more in the second round, before then ultimately dropping Aldo in the third with a straight right, and finishing the champ on the ground with strikes.
