Sean Strickland has once again taken to social media to ruffle some feathers. Strickland was well aware of Diego Sanchez’s fourth-round TKO loss to former WBA super-welterweight titleholder Austin Trout in a bare-knuckle boxing showdown this past Friday night. Sanchez and Trout collided at BKFC Knucklemania 3 inside the Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, N.M.

Tonight’s BKFC Knucklemania 3 event is co-headlined by a fight between UFC Hall of Famer Diego Sanchez and Austin Trout. Sanchez (30-14 MMA) will be competing for the first time since suffering a unanimous decision loss to Kevin Lee in the main event of Eagle FC 46 last March. ‘The Nightmare’ has gone 1-3 over his last four contests, with his lone victory in that time coming in the form of a disqualification win over Michel Pereira.

Former UFC heavyweight fighter Greg Hardy makes his bare-knuckle boxing debut at tonight’s BKFC Knucklemania 3 event in Albuquerque. Hardy (7-5 MMA) will be facing Josh Watson, a two-fight BKFC veteran.

BKFC president David Feldman is unsure what Paige Vanzant’s future in combat sports holds. ’12 Gauge’ has been out of action since her bout with Rachel Ostovich at BKFC 19 in July 2021. In that outing, Vanzant wound up being outstruck en route to a unanimous decision defeat. The loss put the UFC veteran back to 0-2 in her BFKC run, having previously lost to Britain Hart in February.

John Dodson expects to "break" Jarod Grant in the first round at KnuckleMania 3, plans to be BKFC and RIZIN champ by end of 2023

John Dodson was excited when he got the call to be on KnuckleMania 3. Dodson returned to MMA on New Year’s Eve and scored a first-round TKO at RIZIN 40 as the former UFC title challenger inked a multi-fight deal with the promotion. Although he is signed with RIZIN, Dodson remains on the BKFC roster and wanted to be part of KnuckleMania 3, and he got his wish.

Austin Trout surprised many when he signed with BKFC. Trout is the former WBA light middleweight champion and still a top-five contender and many expected him to try and get a title shot this year. The former champ has fought the likes of Canelo Alvarez and the Charlo twins, but he wanted to be more active so inked a deal with BKFC.

Diego Sanchez believes Austin Trout is overlooking him. Sanchez is set to make his BKFC debut at KnuckleMania 3 against Trout who is the former WBA light middleweight champion. The pro boxer has fought the likes of Canelo Alvarez and the Charlo twins. Given Trout is a big name in boxing, Sanchez was excited when he got the call to fight him as he wanted the biggest name possible for his debut.

Marcus Brimage is done with MMA. Brimage last competed in MMA in July 2021 at XMMA 2 when he lost a decision to Kyle Bochniak to drop his pro record to 7-8. Since then, Brimage has signed with BKFC and is focused on bare-knuckle and after having his BKFC fight he says he is done with MMA.

David Feldman isn’t ruling out Paige Vanzant extending her contract with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. VanZant shocked many when she fought out her UFC contract and signed with BKFC. However, she has lost both of her fights with promotion, suffering losses to Britain Hart and Rachael Ostovich. Since her second loss in July of 2021, she hasn’t fought since. But, Feldman hopes the former UFC fighter will return in February at KnuckleMania 3.

While he was originally slated to face Khamzat Chimaev in his final bout, ‘Borz’ badly missed weight, causing the promotion to change plans. As a result, Diaz faced Tony Ferguson instead.
