Adrien Broner indicted on felony assault and robbery charges
Friday evening an official report broke that prizefighter Adrien Broner had been indicted on felony assault and robbery charges stemming from his March robbery incident. Broner allegedly lost $12,000 while bowling, and then proceeded to get the money back later that evening in the parking lot at gunpoint.
After defeating Ashley Theophane, Broner turned himself in to the Cincinnati Police before posting bail. Shortly after that, Broner was taken into custody once again for violating probation from a previous charge.
Sherdog broke the story of Broner’s indictment, which also revealed that the prizefighter was indicted on an aggravated battery charge which carries a maximum sentence of up to 10 years in prison. In addition, the felony assault and robbery charges could land Broner in prison for 8 years each.
