Deontay Wilder says ‘contracts have been signed’ for rematch against Tyson Fury for early 2020
When Deontay Wilder fought Tyson Fury back in December it was one of the marquee boxing fights of the year. There, “The Gypsy King” seemed to be winning the fight until “The Bronze Bomber” hit him with a combination of strikes that knocked him down.
Miraculously Fury got up from brutal knockdown and fought the final minutes of the fight. And, when the scorecards were read it was announced a draw, the expectation was an immediate rematch would happen. But, that was not the case. Rather, Deontay Wilder took on Dominic Breazeale and is now slated to rematch Luis Ortiz in September.
Fury, on the other hand, is taking on German, Tom Schwarz in June in his first fight since the Wilder bout.
But, the two will indeed run it back following those bouts as Deontay Wilder announced on Instagram saying the contracts are signed.

According to reports, all signs point to this fight happening as early as January 2020, but for sure happening in the first quarter of the new year. But, for the rematch to happen, both Wilder and Fury will need to win their respective upcoming fights.
