Dana White not so confident on whether Conor McGregor will fight again after Mayweather bout

Conor McGregor is already one of the highest-paid stars fighting in the UFC and could potentially make more in this single boxing match against Floyd Mayweather than he has in his entire mixed martial arts career. UFC President Dana White stated early on when negotiations were still going on that he estimated with his predicted numbers on how the fight sells, “The Notorious” would likely make around $75 million and Mayweather would make over $100. McGregor believes he will make over $100 million given that White’s estimates were based on conservative numbers for how the fight sells and didn’t include endorsements and his other business ventures that are tied to the mega money boxing match.

He’s a relative fresh 28, while Mayweather is now 40 years old. Last night, at a crowded press conference inside the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather met for the first time. It was entertaining affair, highlighted by some memorable trash talk and a fairly intense staredown. The staredown, of course, would have been much more enjoyable if we could have heard what the two fighters were saying to each other. Luckily, McGregor broke down the exchange in a post-fight chat with Ariel Helwani.

It seems that the UFC still has beef with Ariel Helwani. On Tuesday, just hours prior to the start of the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor world tour press conference kicking off in Los Angeles at the Staples Center, Helwani tweeted that he was removed from working with Showtime for the event as a specific request by the UFC.
