VIDEO | Floyd Mayweather swarmed and harassed by Conor McGregor fans
Last week, Undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor hit four major cities as part of their ‘Mayweather-McGregor world tour’.
As the tour progressed, tensions began to build between the two men as trash talk became more personal, rapidly approaching a dangerous line according to Showtime’s Stephen Espinoza:
“The intensity keeps increasing. It’s getting more tense and more tense all around. I think earlier I said, I wish there were 4 or 5 more dates. At this point one more date is about all it will take before this thing blows up.”
“It’s getting right to the line, and I think that with another fighter other than Floyd, there were a couple of times tonight that could have turned into something ugly, but Floyd’s been there before.”
“I’m not worried about that, but I do think that Conor brought it right to the edge a couple of times.”
While the London press stop was undoubtably the most intense, things quickly became even more intense outside as Conor McGregor fans swarmed Floyd Mayweather’s entourage of cars, harassing the undefeated fighter as security guards attempted to break up the madness.
At one point, security managed to clear a path for the cars to leave, however a security guard was then hit by one of Mayweather’s vehicles as he attempted to keep the pathway cleared for the boxing legend.
There has been no further word from Team McGregor or Team Mayweather regarding the matter, however if the security guard who was struck by the vehicle turns out to be a venue security guard, and not a TMT security guard, the driver of the vehicle could very well be facing a lawsuit.
Stay tuned for updates as they become available regarding this situation.
