Manny Pacquiao leaves door open for Floyd Mayweather rematch
Last year Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao had their highly anticipated Boxing super-fight.
Mayweather ultimately won the fight via decision, however many criticized him for his unwillingness to engage with Pacquiao in striking exchanges.
After the fight there was talks of an immediate rematch however Mayweather retired and Pacquiao ultimately decided to fight Timothy Bradley and then retire.
Ahead of that fight, Pacquiao is leaving the door open for a rematch with Mayweather in the future.
He spoke to Peter Gilbert:
“It’s hard to say right now. I made my decision already that after this fight I [will] retire. But I am not saying that, you know, boxing is closed to me. You never know.
I don’t feel different compared [with] when I was 27, 25. I am still the same because I discipline myself. Even if I don’t have a fight and I am not in training, I always exercise every day.”
