John Fury claims “a complete idiot in the gym” is responsible for Tommy having to pullout of his fight with Jake Paul. Tommy Fury (7-0) and Jake Paul (4-0) were set to collide in a highly anticipated boxing match on December 18th. However, the Englishman suffered a broken rib in training and was forced to withdraw from the contest.

Boxing promoter Bob Arum has shared his thoughts on Jake Paul and how the YouTuber would fare against a experienced fighter. Paul (4-0) is set to rematch former UFC champion Tyron Woodley (0-1) in his next fight on December 18 in Tampa Bay, this after his original opponent Tommy Fury was forced to withdraw from the event due to injury (more on that here).

Jake Paul has made it clear there is nothing in the contracts saying his opponent can’t knock him out. Back in August, Tyron Woodley rocked Paul badly but didn’t throw anything of substance after that to finish the job. To no surprise, after the fight, Dillon Danis claimed Woodley had a no knockout rule in his contract which Paul says is not true. Instead, he offered Woodley a $500k bonus if he does knock him out in their rematch on December 18.

Jake Paul has opened as the betting favorite over Tyron Woodley. Paul was originally supposed to box Tommy Fury in the main event of the Showtime boxing pay-per-view on December 18 in Tampa, Florida. Unfortnately, on Monday it was revealed Fury was forced out of the fight due to an injury. Shortly thereafter, it was revealed Paul would be rematching Woodley, who took the fight on 12 days’ notice.

Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya called out P4P great Floyd Mayweather, saying “it’s probably the biggest fight that you can make today.” De La Hoya, who is 48 years old, has not stepped into the boxing ring since he lost to Manny Pacquiao in 2008. He was supposed to return into the boxing ring this year for Triller against former UFC champion Vitor Belfort, but the fight fell apart after de la Hoya came down with a bad case of COVID-19. De La Hoya has now recovered from his illness and he is interested in stepping back into the ring in 2022. While he is open to fighting Belfort again, De La Hoya believes he has a better idea for a fight, a rematch against Mayweather.
