YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul is convinced that he is in UFC president Dana White’s head over the fighter pay remarks he recently made. Paul has been at the forefront of the fighter pay movement for UFC fighters. The boxing star wants White to pay his fighters more, and with Paul being so vocal about the low fighter pay in the UFC, it’s led to a number of MMA fighters speaking out recently about their pay, including middleweight contender Jared Cannonier, and women’s strawweight Cheyanne Buys. However, despite the increased talk about fighter pay, there haven’t been any changes to the way UFC fighters are paid in regards to giving them a bump in pay.

Legendary boxer Manny Pacquiao issued a statement following his unanimous decision boxing loss to Yordenis Ugas this past Saturday night. Ugas outpointed Pacquiao and picked up a unanimous decision win in Las Vegas in what was an upset at the sportsbooks. Taking to his social media in the days following the loss, Pacquiao issued a statement where he thanked his fans for their support, congratulated Ugas on his victory, and apologized to his supporters for not being able to get the victory.

Ugas filled in on short notice to fight Pacquiao when Errol Spence withdrew to an injury, but he pulled off the upset as he won a unanimous decision over Pacquiao. For Ugas, this is by far the biggest win of his boxing career over one of the sport’s all-time greats in Pacquiao. To put a name like Pacquiao on one’s resume is absolutely massive and Ugas knows that. Following the victory, the Cuban took to his social media to praise his rival.

It is expected to be a big-selling pay-per-view and the fight has also seen a lot of betting action on it from fans. Currently, Paul is favored at the sportsbooks to get the win but Woodley is only a moderate underdog.

Just the announcement of Ortiz fighting Silva alone was surprising, but the fact the fight was booked at 195lbs is even more surprising considering Ortiz is now 46 years old and has never weighed that little in his entire MMA career. In fact, according to Ortiz in an interview with TMZ, he is not happy that Silva has forced him to cut down to 195lbs.

The main event of the card features former UFC champion Vitor Belfort against Oscar de la Hoya. With the addition of Ortiz vs. Silva, this is expected to be one of Triller’s biggest boxing events to date, one that features a number of combat sports legends.

The Washington Post revealed that Shields will take on Abigail Montes at the PFL Championship on Wednesday, October 27. Montes is 2-0 as a professional MMA fighter and is just 21 years old. She has previously competed in the Combate Americas and iFF organizations in her native Mexico, where she has defeated both of her opponents.
