The boxers rematched 6 months later, but the distractions of nice cars and hard-partying took a toll on the champion. He was outpointed and outboxed by the British fighter, eventually succumbing to a unanimous decision loss.

Shields has even suggested she’d be willing to fight Nunes under the MMA rule-set. The boxing champ appears to have been serious about those comments.

A police report filed in Miami accused Floyd Mayweather of assault at a Miami hotel. However, all parties have agreed that Mayweather never put his hands on the accuser. On February 1, the day before the Super Bowl, 32-year old Ricco Kimborough claimed he recognized Floyd Mayweather who was standing at the valet stand with his security team at the Fontainebleau Hilton at around 8.30 am.

Former UFC featherweight Clay Collard picked up a big upset win over top prospect Ray Guajardo in a wild boxing brawl on FS1. Collard previously fought in the UFC from 2014 to 2015, going 1-3 with a win over Alex White and losses to Max Holloway, Gabriel Benitez and Tiago Trator. He still competes in mixed martial arts but in 2017 made his pro boxing debut and has gone 6-2-3 since then.

For those unfamiliar, the Maryland-born fighter, Davis (25-years-old), is undefeated in his professional career boasting a record of 23-0. He is a two-weight world champion following his most recent TKO victory over Yuriorkis Gamboa in which he captured the vacant WBA lightweight title.

Social media star Jake Paul followed in the footsteps of his brother last night, as he stepped foot in the boxing ring to fight AnEsonGib in a pro bout. His older brother and fellow YouTuber Logan Paul joined the boxing circuit in 2018 to face KSI. The stars battled to a draw in their first fight, but KSI outpointed the older Paul brother in their 2019 rematch.

McGregor defeated Donald Cerrone in the main event of UFC 246 and now the race is on to be his next opponent. The sportsbooks favor Jorge Masvidal to get the next crack at McGregor but fighters such as Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Nate Diaz and Kamaru Usman are all possibilities as well for McGregor’s next MMA fight.

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather took to social media last night after UFC 246 to tease fights against both Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2020. Mayweather always tries to insert himself into the news even when he’s not the one competing. On Saturday, McGregor returned to the Octagon after a 14-month layoff to knock out Donald Cerrone in the main event of UFC 246. Following the event, Mayweather teased a fight against McGregor and one against Nurmagomedov.

There have recently been talks of a potential fight between boxing world champion Claressa Shields and reigning UFC bantamweight and featherweight champion Amanda Nunes, and White isn’t hiding his plans for a fight between the two. When asked for an update on a potential fight between Nunes and Shields, White told Bronsteter that it’s not hard to figure out what’s going on between all parties involved and he believes the best opponent for each fighter is the other.

This is only Shields’ 10th professional fight.
