Former UFC fighter Tyron Woodley hinted the Jake Paul fight is the beginning of a boxing career, saying “You’re gonna want to see more of it.” It was officially announced earlier this week that Woodley will be taking his talents to the boxing ring when he takes on Paul on August 28 on Showtime PPV. For Woodley, the chance to fight Paul in boxing represents the opportunity to earn a massive payday. Considering he’s age 39 and is coming off of four straight losses in the UFC, it was a no-brainer for Woodley to say yes to this fight and secure the bag. But it appears as though Woodley is now a fan of the boxing paydays and is hoping to get more of them soon.

Boxing promoter Oscar De La Hoya accused Canelo Alvarez of ducking Jermell Charlo, and Alvarez issued a scathing response to the accusation. In reply to a post on Instagram of Alvarez teaching a young fighter boxing technique, De La Hoya and Alvarez got into a back-and-forth argument on social media after the Golden Boy executive accused Alvarez of ducking Jermell Charlo. Not only that, but De La Hoya also criticized his former client for his boxing skills, suggesting that Alvarez leads his head up when he throws hooks and that he walks around the ring flat-footed. Alvarez was absolutely livid with the comments that De La Hoya made and he quickly fired back at him.

This Sunday’s exhibition boxing match between the legend Floyd Mayweather and YouTuber Logan Paul will have no judges, but KOs are legal. According to ESPN’s Marc Raimondi, there will be no judges ringside this weekend to score the fight between Mayweather and Paul, meaning no official winner will be produced. However, the fighters can still go for the knockout. It will be up to the referee whether or not to stop the fight due to strikes, but there will be no judges that will score the rounds.
