Tonight’s Bellator 277 event is co-headlined by a light heavyweight title fight featuring Vadim Nemkov taking on Corey Anderson. Nemkov (15-2 MMA, 7-0 BMMA), the reigning 205lbs champion, will be looking to earn his third straight title defense this evening. The Russian last competed at Bellator 268, where he defeated Julius Anglickas via submission to advance to the World Grand Prix finals.

Bellator 277 takes place today, Friday April 15th with official results beginning at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT). The event takes place at SAP Center in San Jose, California. The main card airs on ‘Showtime’ following the online prelims.

Bellator featherweight champion A.J. McKee has revealed the price that is needed for him to stay in the promotion. ‘Mercenary’ is coming off a victory over Patricio Pitbull last July. The victory saw him win Bellator featherweight gold, as well as the promotion’s 145-pound Grand Prix. He’s now set to rematch the former champion this Friday at Bellator 277.

Bellator light heavyweight star Corey Anderson has gone off on his critics ahead of his title fight at Bellator 277. On Friday night in San Jose, Corey Anderson will attempt to capture his first major world title when he goes head to head with Vadim Nemkov in the light heavyweight tournament finals. Anderson is 3-0 since arriving in Bellator and with seven wins in his last eight fights, many believe a victory here could put him in the conversation as one of the best 205-pounders on the planet.

Melvin Manhoef is a kickboxing legend and current Bellator MMA star. He can seemingly now add being a crime-fighter to his list of occupations. The 45-year-old spoke about his recent run-in with some burglars with the Dutch news outlet Vechtsport Info. Manhoef revealed that he recently saw some men attempting to rob his home. As a result, he stopped them and then decided to chase after the men after they attempted to flee.

Bellator welterweight champion, Yaroslav Amosov has provided an update from Ukraine. The undefeated welterweight recently revealed he would be joining many other fighters and athletes on the front line in defending his country against Russia. Now, after two weeks of Russia’s invasion, Amosov took to Instagram to share a horrific update stating that terrible things are happening and he doesn’t see it ending anytime soon.

MMA star Kayla Harrison has snapped at Cris Cyborg and challenged her to a fight at American Top Team’s gym. The last few months have been fairly chaotic for Kayla Harrison. In addition to becoming a two-time PFL champion, the two-time Olympic gold medalist has had to deal with mounting speculation regarding her future in mixed martial arts. At first it seemed as if she’d head to the UFC in order to test herself against Amanda Nunes, then she was close to signing with PFL, and then talks stalled at the eleventh hour.

Former Bellator fighter Dada 5000 has offered up a solution for MLB players who are currently struggling with the lockout. Since back in December, the MLB has been in a work stoppage lockout since the expiration of the 2016 collective bargaining agreement between the league and the players’ union. In the months since, the MLB has been in regular contact with the MLBPA as they attempt to come to an arrangement on new terms that suit all parties involved.

Austin Vanderford has issued a statement following his 85-second TKO loss to Gegard Mousasi last night at Bellator 275. After starting his mixed martial arts career with eleven straight wins, five of which came under the Bellator banner, Vanderford was given the opportunity to fight for middleweight gold.

Bellator 275’s main event saw Gegard Mousasi take on top contender Austin Vanderford. The Dutch fighter looked to make the second straight defense of his middleweight crown. Both men came into the fight riding waves of momentum. The champion Gegard Mousasi (49-7-2) was coming off a third-round TKO of John Salter in August 2021. He won the belt for the second time in October 2020, by outpointing former welterweight champion Douglas Lima.

Last Saturday night at Bellator 274, Logan Storley managed to grind out an impressive decision win over Neiman Gracie to take his professional mixed martial arts record to 13-1. He had to go through some adversity to get his hand raised but ultimately, he was the better man out of the two.

Bellator 277 has officially been announced for April 15th. The event is packing heat and has two of their biggest title fights of the year scheduled for it. The main event of the card will be the second chapter in the rivalry between A.J. McKee and Patricio Pitbull. The two first met at Bellator 263, where ‘Mercenary’ defeated the champion via first-round submission to claim featherweight gold. The bout was the finals of Bellator’s 2020 featherweight Grand Prix.

Yoel Romero has a name and a date for his return to the Bellator cage. The ‘Soldier of God’ signed to the promotion in December 2020 to much fanfare. Romero was a staple of the UFC’s middleweight promotion for nearly a decade. Along the way, he fought in four titles bouts, most recently against Israel Adesanya at UFC 248.

Benson Henderson, 38, has been competing for Bellator MMA in the lightweight division and is currently ranked at #3. Henderson, a former UFC lightweight champion (28-11 MMA) fought Islam Mamedov (20-1 MMA) at Bellator 273, last Saturday, January 29th in Phoenix, Arizona. The result was Henderson defeating Mamedov by split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28).
