Last month, former UFC champion BJ Penn announced that he was officially ending his retirement and going after the 145 pound belt. Penn teamed up with Greg Jackson and Mike Winkeljohn at Jackson-Wink MMA for his highly anticipated return. While he was initially supposed to return on March 5th, the UFC pushed the bout back to April. However, no opponent has been named for ‘The Prodigy’ in his return bout.

UFC Hall of Fame legend BJ Penn recently announced his decision to come out of retirement with a goal of becoming the only fighter in UFC history to win three weight division’s titles. Penn, who already has two titles in separate weight classes along with fellow UFC Hall of Fame legend Randy Couture has been in Albuquerque, New Mexico training at the JacksonWink MMA Academy. Coach Greg Jackson spoke on the Three Amigos podcast that was released on Thursday and gave an update on working with “The Prodigy” and his potential in the featherweight division.

UFC Hall of Fame legend BJ Penn recently announced he will be returning to the Octagon for a run at the UFC featherweight title. In his attempt to do so, “The Prodigy” has taken a step outside of his comfort zone and has enlisted under the coaching of Greg Jackson and Mike Winklejohn at the JacksonWink MMA academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is a world away from his tropical homeland in Hilo, Hawaii. Penn finds himself in the desert at altitude but is settling into his new environment well with big goals in mind.

BJPENN.COM was able to get a few questions in with Coach Wink who is a nominee for “MMA Coach of the Year” in the Eighth Annual Fighter’s Only World MMA Awards, which take place on Feb. 5.
