Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor had their first war of words face-to-face when they went on their four city world tour press conference last week.

There were some highlights and some low points on the tour but overall, fans got what they were looking for as two of the biggest stars from boxing and mixed martial arts promoted their mega-money fight set to take place on August 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

While the betting lines are looking like Conor McGregor got the best of Floyd Mayweather on their world tour press conference, Greg La Rosa who is one of Mayweather’s security guards feels that “The Notorious” may be a little thrown off mentally after he went beyond words and got physical.

“I believe the turning point of what showed that he couldn’t get in his head is at the point when he touched his head in London,” said La Rosa to Submission Radio. “To me, that showed a sign of weakness in Conor because basically, the touch, you’re not supposed to be touching the other guy obviously, and I believe that touch was to try to bring something out of Floyd and he was basically saying, to me anyways, that I can’t do with words, I can’t do with actions, I need to try to do something else here. And even when he touched him, Floyd wasn’t even paying attention. He was on his phone and was just laughing at him, just laughing. He was talking to other people while Conor was doing his bit and I think that was really getting to Conor.”

McGregor and Mayweather’s security team including La Rosa also had their fair share of verbal exchanges during the tour. However, La Rosa says he is blessed with the opportunity to be so close to what could be the richest fight in combat sports history.

“It’s unbelievable, man. I mean, first of all, this is the biggest fight ever and I think it will be the biggest fight that will ever happen in the future and everything, and me being a part of it, you know, I feel extremely blessed and I don’t know how many people can tell their friends and their family that they were on the stage with Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather, and I don’t know how many people can tell their friends that they got into a verbal altercation with Conor. So, it’s a great experience. I had a lot of fun. I can’t replace this experience with anything.”
