Showtime Boxing reveals poster for Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather fight
With the big fight between UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor and undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather now official, the promotional wheels are definitively in motion. Over the next 10 weeks, we can expect SHOWTIME Boxing, Mayweather promotions, The UFC, and other massive organizations to dig deep into their pockets to promote this fight, ensuring that it does indeed go down as the biggest fight in combat sports history.
While we haven’t seen much in the way of promotional video just yet, SHOWTIME boxing, who will be promoting this landmark pay-per-view, have already released a poster for the fight, and it’s a cool one.

“Boxing and UFC collide in the fight nobody believed was possible,” SHOWTIME said along with the poster for the fight. “Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor on 8/26.”
Mayweather and McGregor’s anticipated boxing match will occur inside the T-Mobile Arena, a combat sports stronghold in the fight capital of the world, Las Vegas. The fight will be contested at 154 pounds, which is undeniably good news for McGregor, who always endured a brutal cut to make the featherweight division’s 145-pound cap, but appeared to make the lightweight division’s 155-pound limit with ease. Mayweather and McGregor will box in 10 oz. gloves, for a maximum of 12 rounds.
When we last saw McGregor in action, he took out Eddie Alvarez to win the UFC lightweight title in November. Given that he still owned the UFC featherweight belt at the time, this made him the first fighter in UFC history to hold titles in two weight classes concurrently.
Mayweather, meanwhile, has not competed since 2013, when he moved to 49-0 with a unanimous decision defeat of Andre Berto.
