Francis Ngannou doesn’t really care about what critics think ahead of his boxing debut against Tyson Fury.

‘The Predator’ and ‘The Gypsy King’ are currently slated to clash this Saturday night in Saudi Arabia. For Francis Ngannou, the boxing match will be the first of his combat sports career, as he will enter a massive underdog. Meanwhile, Tyson Fury is coming off a knockout win over Derek Chisora in December.

Nonetheless, since the fight’s announcement, Francis Ngannou has faced a high amount of criticism. That criticism has come after the MMA fighter has shown his boxing skills at open workouts. In fact, Tyson Fury’s father opined that the former UFC champion would be his son’s easiest opponent ever, after his public workout earlier this month.

However, Francis Ngannou doesn’t really care about all the negative talk. The PFL heavyweight contender appeared on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, where he was asked about his bout with Tyson Fury. There, he stated that doubters are nothing new. For him, he’s just focused on himself right now.

“Whatever they do, they’re going to do watching the stage. I’m the man on the stage,” Francis Ngannou stated on The MMA Hour when asked about critics ahead of his boxing match with Tyson Fury. “I will respond, I don’t care, because I don’t care, it’s my show! It’s my show man! I managed to get here, and whether you like it or not, it is what it is. You just have to take it.”

He continued, “No, it can’t get under my skin. Listen, this is the entire story of my life, every time it’s been like that in the beginning. From the very beginning, since I was a kid. Even dreaming to become a fighter, it was the same thing… They always doubted me, and look how far we’ve come.
