Former UFC bantamweight and flyweight champion Henry Cejudo has once again called out Alexander Volkanovski to prove that he is the GOAT of mixed martial arts. Cejudo retired from MMA in May immediately following a TKO win over Dominick Cruz at UFC 249, but in the two months since then, he has been all over social media calling out the UFC featherweight champion Volkanovski. Cejudo has been critical of Volkanovski’s reign as a champion and believes that he stole a decision from Max Holloway at UFC 251.

Former UFC flyweight champion Henry Cejudo isn’t impressed by the division’s new champion Deiveson Figueiredo, and thinks his championship reign will end against Askar Askarov. Cejudo last fought at UFC 249 in May when he took on Dominick Cruz. He won by TKO in the second round against the 135-pound legend and finished the bout with a surprising message. From the Octagon, he announced his decision to retire from MMA and subsequently vacate his bantamweight title.

Henry Cejudo has sent a message to UFC President Dana White in the wake of new bantamweight and flyweight champions being crowned. “Triple C” retired from mixed martial arts back in May after his convincing win over Dominick Cruz at UFC 249, opening the door for both of the aforementioned divisions to move on without him. In the last few weeks, Petr Yan and Deiveson Figueiredo have both stepped up to the plate and won titles in their respective weight classes – prompting more than a few responses from Cejudo.

Former flyweight champion Henry Cejudo was clearly watching tonight’s UFC Fight Island 2 main event between Deiveson Figueiredo and Joseph Benavidez. Figueiredo and Benavidez were squaring off for a second time, this after their first encounter for the promotions vacant flyweight title had ended in somewhat controversial fashion. In their first meeting, the flyweights appeared to clash heads which opened up a cut on the head of ‘Joe-Jitsu’ and shortly after the Brazilian in Figueiredo was able to finish the fight.
