Joe Rogan has called for Canada to “get their sh*t together” after fans were chanting “F**k Trudeau” at UFC 297 in Toronto.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship made its highly anticipated return to Canada earlier this month for the UFC 297 pay-per-view event. Headlining the card was a middleweight title fight between Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis.

At the pre-fight press conference, a Canadian journalist asked the now-former middleweight champion, Strickland, if he still stood by his comments from 2021, where he said he believed he would have “failed as a man” if he had a gay son.

Strickland was clearly irritated by the question and proceeded to lash out at the journalist:

“You’re part of the f**king problem. You elected Justin Trudeau. When he seized the bank accounts, like you’re just f**king pathetic. The fact that you have no f**king backbone and as he shut down your f**king country and seized bank accounts, you ask me some stupid sh*t like that? Go f**k yourself!”

Despite his previous comments about having to fight in Canada, Sean Strickland’s controversial remarks appeared to win over a large majority of the crowd at the presser in Toronto.

That momentum carried over into Saturday’s UFC 297 event, where fans in attendance could clearly be heard chanting in unison “F**k Trudeau!”.

Longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan was not in attendance at UFC 297, but he was watching the event with some friends live on his podcast.

As seen in the clip below from ‘X‘, Rogan seemingly applauded the Canadian fans for their decision to callout the country’s current Prime Minister.

“F**k Trudeau. They’re yelling ‘F**k Trudeau’. Yea. Yea. Canada, get your sh*t together. Come back. Come back to what you used to be. That Pierre Poilievre guy, however you say his name. That guy makes sense.”

Pierre Poilievre is of course the leader of the Conservative party, who most Canadians believe has the best chance of taking over from Justin Trudeau and the Liberals.

Clearly Joe Rogan isn’t a fan of Canada’s current Prime Minister and is hoping a change in leadership is made this coming election.
