Joe Rogan gives his take on Conor McGregor's next opponent

Tom Taylor - October 24, 2017

At this stage, the circumstances of Conor McGregor’s next fight are quite nebulous. The Irish MMA superstar has a seemingly endless list of options available, spanning both MMA and boxing. That said, there are two options that seem to stand out from the rest: a fight with UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson, and a trilogy fight with his arch rival Nate Diaz.

Rising star Darren Till rose to the occasion in the main event of UFC Fight Night 118 over the weekend. Till had the biggest fight of his life for his first UFC main event against fan favorite Donald Cerrone and made a statement by stopping “Cowboy” in the first round by TKO. UFC commentator Joe Rogan, former UFC fighter Brendan Schaub, and Eddie Bravo got together to watch the UFC Fight Night 118 event and streamed it for the Joe Rogan Experience – Fight Companion episode. Joe Rogan claims UFC 217 tickets are not selling well, explains why

Tom Taylor - October 23, 2017

On November 4, the UFC will return to New York City’s hallowed Madison Square Garden with UFC 217. The card stands out as perhaps the most stacked stacked of the year, as it features a middleweight title fight between Michael Bisping and Georges St-Pierre, a bantamweight title fight between Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw, and a strawweight title fight between Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Rose Namajunas. While UFC 217 is packed to the edges with UFC stars, however, word has it that tickets aren’t selling especially well. UFC commentator Joe Rogan dropped this bomb on the UFC Gdansk Fight Companion episode of his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.

Russell Ess - September 27, 2017

There is no doubt that we are living in a new world of communication with social media being able to have such a big impact on people’s lives. Just dating back to a few presidential terms, even the thought of the President of the United States having a twitter beef with leaders of other countries and professional athletes for that matter would have simply been laughed at.

Joe Rogan doesn't think Conor McGregor is done with boxing, discusses matchups with GGG and Canelo

Tom Taylor - September 18, 2017

Over the weekend, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and “GGG” Gennady Golovkin finally stepped into the boxing ring together, battling to a controversial split draw. During the broadcast, which coincided with the UFC’s latest trip to Pittsburgh, UFC commentator Joe Rogan aired a special Fight Companion edition of his podcast, throughout which he and his compatriots had a spirited live discussion about the fights. Unsurprisingly, UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor was a common talking point.

Joe Rogan breaks down Paulie Malignaggi's chances against UFC fighters, picks one fighter he could beat

Tom Taylor - September 5, 2017

On Saturday’s special UFC Rotterdam episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, UFC commentator Joe Rogan told guest Brendan Schaub that he believes it’s time for Paulie Malignaggi to stop trash-talking MMA fighters. Well, what he really said was that Malignaggi should “shut the f*ck up.” Riffing on the subject of Malignaggi’s beef with the MMA community –which most recently manifested itself when the boxer got into it with UFC featherweight champ Max Holloway on Twitter – Rogan began breaking down Malignaggi’s chances in the Octagon with various fighters.

Joe Rogan's advice to Paulie Malignaggi: Shut the f*ck up

Tom Taylor - September 5, 2017

Paulie Malignaggi was brought into Conor McGregor’s training camp for Floyd Mayweather as an ally. He left as an arch enemy. Since Malignaggi departed McGregor’s headquarters, he’s taken every opportunity to berate the Irishman, attacking him in interviews, and trashing him on social media. Eventually, Malignaggi even began attacking other members of the MMA community, and in the opinion of UFC commentator Joe Rogan, he’d be wise to stop.

VIDEO | Joe Rogan discusses why Conor McGregor gassed against Floyd Mayweather

Chris Taylor - September 3, 2017

UFC commentator Joe Rogan discusses why Conor McGregor “gassed out” in his high profile boxing match with Floyd Mayweather. Rogan believes that “Mystic Mac” has some “serious endurance problems”, and that is why he suffered a tenth-round TKO loss at the hands of the legendary undefeated boxer.

Joe Rogan: Jon Jones is the number one f**kup of all time

Tom Taylor - August 30, 2017

Earlier this month, the combat sports world was rocked by the news that Jon Jones had failed a drug test administered on the eve of his UFC 214 battle with Daniel Cormier. As the latest in an unfortunately long string of drug-related incidents, this failure called into question Jones’ status as the UFC’s new light heavyweight champion, and his legacy one of the greatest fighters in the history of the sport. On a recent edition of The Joe Rogan Experience, long-time UFC commentator Joe Rogan weighed in on what this test means for Jones’ legacy. He wasn’t exactly gentle.

Brendan Schaub points out insane new negotiating power of Conor McGregor to Joe Rogan

Russell Ess - August 29, 2017

Coming off the biggest payday of his career, Conor McGregor is expected to head back to the UFC and likely defend his UFC lightweight title. With his guaranteed $30 million fight purse for the historic boxing match with Floyd Mayweather, “The Notorious” will earn a lot more in his cut of the pay-per-view buys and endorsements for the fight. With such a big shift in pay in his professional boxing debut, what will Conor’s fight purses look like going back to the UFC?

Russell Ess - August 10, 2017

Joe Rogan was upset with himself after he interviewed Daniel Cormier in the Octagon following his KO loss to Jon Jones in the main event of UFC 214. Rogan previously stated that he no longer wanted to interview fighters that just suffered a nasty KO because they were not in the right mental state to do so. However, Rogan went against his own policy in all the madness following the devastating outcome and interviewed Cormier in the Octagon, who couldn’t help but let his emotions pour out.

Russell Ess - July 28, 2017

Joe Rogan has a ton of fans because of his background in martial arts and his undeniable passion for the sport of MMA. Rogan’s name was brought up to be a part of the broadcasting crew for the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor fight. Unfortunately, Rogan had already committed to other obligations on the August 26 date of the fight.

Joe Rogan says Conor McGregor would be a "folk hero" if he head kicked Floyd Mayweather

Tom Taylor - June 20, 2017

Though Conor McGregor is an incredibly talented mixed martial artist, he’s being widely discounted in his upcoming boxing match with undefeated legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. People just don’t seem to believe the Irish mixed martial artist will be able to hang with Mayweather in the boxing ring. The same would go for Mayweather in a mixed martial arts bout with McGregor, of course. If McGregor was allowed to use his kicks, elbows, knees, and takedowns – rather than just his fists – Mayweather would be given almost no chance.

Joe Rogan reacts to news of Mike Goldberg's move to Bellator MMA

Tom Taylor - June 14, 2017

Late last year, long-time UFC play-by-play man Mike Goldberg was released by the promotion with little in the way of sendoff or fanfare. He simply called UFC 207, put down his commentator’s headset, and that was that. His long run with the promotion was over. After months of rumors, we learned yesterday that the beloved commentator had found a new home. Goldberg has signed a deal with Bellator MMA – the sport’s second biggest promotion. He will debut behind the Bellator commentary desk during Bellator 180 and Bellator NYC, which compose arguably the biggest event the promotion has ever hosted.

Joe Rogan explains why he believes Jose Aldo's legacy will always be tarnished

Tom Taylor - May 31, 2017

Jose Aldo is one of the pound-for-pound best fighters on the planet, and really, one of the best fighters of all time. No matter how you feel about him, there’s really no denying these things. In the opinion of UFC commentator Joe Rogan, however, Aldo’s legacy as one of the best ever will always be tarnished by one thing: his 13-second, 2015 knockout loss to Conor McGregor. Though Aldo has since regained the undisputed featherweight title that he lost to McGregor that night (he did so without avenging his loss to McGregor), that knockout loss stands out as the one blip in an otherwise dominant career.
