Apparently former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was given a “huge break” from Albuquerque, New Mexico police. Police clocked Jones going 75 mph in a 35 mph zone and the former champ didn’t have any proof of insurance, registration for the vehicle, or his driver’s license at the time of the stop.

The news surrounding Jon Jones looks to be back focused on his training after his recent traffic citations issues seem to have passed. The former UFC light heavyweight champion is focused on his title fight coming up against the champion Daniel Cormier at UFC 197 on April 23. This fight will be Jones’ first since being reinstated by the UFC after battling legal issues stemming from a hit-and-run incident in 2015.

Earlier this week it was revealed that former UFC light heavyweight kingpin Jon Jones had been pulled over for driving without a license, insurance card, or registration back in January. While many were worried that this could potentially violate Jones’ probation handed to him after his hit-and-run incident last year, Jones was ordered to perform more community service appearances for the tickets.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is making headlines in the news once again for legal issues. Denise White, a representative for Jon Jones told MMA Junkie that Jones was speeding on January 31, 2016 and was issued a citation. “He will be in traffic court on Wednesday like everyone else that gets a speeding ticket,“ White wrote in an email to MMAjunkie. “Nothing to read into here but he was speeding. He is fully licensed and insured.”

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has been training hard for his return to the Octagon. Jones was suspended last year from the UFC and stripped of his championship title for legal issues involving a hit-and-run accident in Albuquerque, New Mexico back in 2015. Jones has since been reinstated by the UFC and is expected to take on the current light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. This will be the second time Jones and Cormier will meet in the Octagon. Jones defeated Cormier back at UFC 182, which took place on January 2, 2015. The rematch will be Jones’ first fight back in the UFC and Cormier will get his chance to avenge his loss and keep the light heavyweight title.
