Like so many of us, Max Holloway is tired of the ongoing Twitter beef between UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and former lightweight and featherweight champ Conor McGregor. In fact, he believes the two UFC stars could achieve a tremendous amount of good if they combined forces. They might even be able to combat climate change (h/t MMA Mania). Holloway first discussed notion in an interview with Sports Illustrated.

Current UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway recently discussed the ugliness of the ongoing feud between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. “You know, that things is, it’s not even a fighting thing. I don’t even worry about it.” Holloway said on The Luke Thomas Show. “I’m glad that Dana White said he was going to step in and intervene. So that’s good. But, you know these guys go such a platform. You know, let’s talk about.. what I’ve been saying is climate change. Everybody is telling me that it is supposed to be warmer right now, and it’s cold here! In Hawaii it’s cold! It’s like seventy degrees. Maybe not cold to you guys, but it is cold to me. Climate change is real guys and the earth is not flat! So let’s talk about stories like that. None of this other stuff that’s going on.”

Former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson has called out Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov on social media. “El Cucuy” sent out the following message after ESPN’s Brett Okamoto tweeted that betting lines were officially open for a Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov rematch.

Over the last few days, the trash talk between UFC rivals Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor has reached a boiling point, as McGregor made racially charged comments about Nurmagomedov’s wife, and Nurmagomedov called McGregor a “rapist” amid the sexual assault accusations the Irishman is facing. Speaking shortly after a Q&A session with students at Moscow’s Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Khabib Nurmagomedov addressed the recent trash talk he’s received from Conor McGregor.

Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s online trash-talk took a turn for the worse yesterday. The two sent personal attacks back and forth, where both went after each others families, with McGregor also seemingly taking a shot at Nurmagomedov’s religion. It got so bad that UFC President, Dana White issued a statement that the UFC would speak to both camps about their behavior to try and stop it from continuing.

Although Usman presents his own challenges to Covington, ‘Chaos’ is already eyeing his next potential fight. That fight would be against current UFC lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov. Covington recently discussed a potential catchweight bout with ‘The Eagle’, where he insinuated that Khabib would be the easiest fight of his career.

Conor McGregor, for example, made several comments thought to be grossly insensitive toward the muslim faith, while Khabib Nurmagomedov flat-out called McGregor a rapist amid the sexual assault accusations the Irishman is currently facing.

The Irish superstar, who had made some controversial posts yesterday evening which were later deleted, issued a form of apology in today’s tweet. In addition, McGregor seemingly announcing his intentions of returning to the UFC.

He also shared a picture of McGregor and a woman who has claimed to be the mother of one of his children.

Ali Abdelaziz, the manager of current UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, has fired back at Conor McGregor following the Irishman’s controversial posts on social media. Earlier this evening, Conor McGregor took to Twitter where he posted photos of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s wife, this while referring to her as a “towel”.

UFC President Dana White recently suggested that UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov could return to the cage in September.
