Khamzat Chimaev is sending a warning to UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland.

Khamzat Chimaev, UFC 279, Press Conference

Chimaev (13-0 MMA) is riding high after defeating Kamaru Usman (20-4 MMA) by majority decision in a middleweight bout last Saturday, October 21st at UFC 294 in the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. With the victory ‘Borz’ remains undefeated in the Octagon.

Prior to the match, UFC CEO Dana White indicated that the victor would get a shot at the title against Strickland.

Following the outcome at UFC 294, Sean Strickland  (28-5 MMA) spoke to ‘UFC Fight Pass’ with the following message for Khamzat Chimaev:

“The only thing I like about Chimaev is that he sells fights. For some reason, people f**king like him or don’t like him. I don’t know. To me, he’s a f**king paycheck. He sells a lot of fights. People pay to watch, but he f**king hasn’t earned it.”

Continuing the current middleweight champion added:

“He hasn’t f**king deserved it, but here we are. Give it to him. He sells a lot of fights. I’ll go fight the f**king man for five rounds. But no, he’s not earned it. He doesn’t f**king deserve it. Getting a decision with a welterweight off the couch is not f**king earning it.”

Strickland, 32, last fought and defeated Israel Adesanya (24-3 MMA) this past September at UFC 293 to become the newly crowned UFC middleweight champion.

Apparently, Khamzat Chimaev is not concerned with ‘Tarzan’s’ analysis of his ‘deserving’ of a title fight, and is looking to ‘finish’ the champion and emerge with the middleweight belt next.

According to ‘ESPN MMA’ on ‘X‘:

“The Wolf has his sights set on finishing the middleweight champ”

Chimaev took to social media with the following statement:

“@SStricklandMMA you are next don’t worry you know how fast I can finish you”
