Mike Goldberg drops hint on return: ‘You’ll see me around soon’
“It is all over!”
You have heard the phrase time and time again from former UFC commentator Mike Goldberg. However, the term doesn’t seem to be applying to Goldberg’s career as the longtime voice calling the fights along with Joe Rogan dropped a hint that we will be seeing him “soon.”
Goldberg tweeted after the UFC 208 event, “Thx for the love & support! Missed calling the fights at #UFC208 with my powerful partner, @joerogan. You’ll see me around soon 😉 #DreamTeam”

Rogan said on a recent Joe Rogan Experience podcast that the situation with Goldberg leaving was just a change that the new owners of the UFC decided on.
“It’s weird man,” Rogan said. “Whenever you change something, it’s weird. And what’s really weird is that Goldberg’s last show was like one of our best ever. We were laughing, flowing together. I’ve known him forever. I’ve known him since 1997. Hey man, you know, when you spend four billion f**king dollars on something, you just want to just do whatever you want.”
Last week, MMA reporter Simon Head tweeted that Bellator MMA President Scott Coker was in talks with Goldberg to commentate Bellator’s events that current commentator Sean Grande isn’t able to commit to. No new information has been released regarding Goldberg taking the mic on for Bellator since then but Goldberg’s tweet surely suggests something is in the works for his career.
Although Goldberg said he will “forever be grateful” for his time spent with the UFC, the promotion did not acknowledge one of the most familiar voices of the Octagon during his last UFC broadcast at UFC 207 in December.
