With the UFC not acknowleding Goldberg during his last UFC event at UFC 207 in December, Goldberg still issued a positive statement addressing the UFC’s decision to let him go.

Goldberg tweeted an image of a statement thanking all of his fans and supporters after the UFC failed to give him a proper farewell during his last broadcast. The former Octagon-side commentator listed his main priorities and duties as he called the fights saying that he did his best to bring a couple of things to the fans.

“First, to bring passion, energy and raw emotion to our fans around the world, dedicated, diehard fans like none other!

“Second, to properly represent each and every fighter, from UFC newcomer to veterans with 20 plus Octagon battles, our fighters work so hard and sacrifice so much it was my responsibility to properly prepare and tell their stories!!”

Goldberg tweeted the following in addition:

“What an incredible ride! I’ll forever be grateful for being on this journey with all of you for the last 19 years!”

Although Goldberg expresssed his gratitude to the UFC, many fans, some members from the MMA community and Goldberg’s son were less than happy for the way the UFC sent the veteran voice of the Octagon go without any recognition.

After 19 years of calling fights for the UFC, now the familar voice everyone is used to along with Joe Rogan could potentially be heard during future Bellator MMA broadcasts.
