Many thought that would be Gaethje but he says he was not offered him and thought maybe Diaz can fight Diego Sanchez.

After a quick start to the fight, McGregor began to have trouble walking due to brutal low kicks from Poirier, and “The Diamond” was eventually able to knock McGregor out in the second round for the biggest win of his career. He then made a brief visit to lightweight, where he collected a second title with a knockout win over Eddie Alvarez. Since then, he’s drifted between lightweight, welterweight and the boxing ring, where he famously took on Floyd Mayweather in 2017.
