Paul Felder still wants James Vick after losing out on initial UFC Boise fight
Drake Riggs - September 5, 2018
It’s been a rough 2018 for Paul Felder when he hasn’t been enjoying his time at the commentary table to help educate the fans. “The Irish Dragon” was supposed to have his first fight of the year at UFC 223 in April when he was set to take on Al Iaquinta. However, thanks to the craziness that was UFC 223, Iaquinta would end up bailing on Felder to fill in for Max Holloway to take on Khabib Nurmagomedov in the night’s main event. Not exactly the worst of choices that one could make.

Tom Taylor - July 12, 2018
Paul Felder is insanely tough. If there was any lingering doubt about that, he erased it in his UFC 226 fight with “Platinum” Mike Perry. Not only did Felder, a natural lightweight, go three, blood-soaked rounds with the welterweight knockout artist Perry, but he did so with a badly broken arm.

Tom Taylor - July 8, 2018
Last night, on the main card of UFC 226, UFC lightweight contender Paul Felder stepped into the cage for a short-notice scrap with UFC welterweight knockout artist “Platinum” Mike Perry. Ahead of UFC 226, this fight was looked at as a sure-thing in terms of violence. And unlike Derrick Lewis and Francis Ngannou’s co-main event battle, it actually delivered.

Drake Riggs - June 28, 2018
It looks like things will end up working out for “The Irish Dragon” Paul Felder who was looking like he would be missing out on his second fight in a row. At UFC 223, Felder was planned to take on Al Iaquinta to kick off the evening’s main card. However, after UFC featherweight champion, Max Holloway was pulled from the night’s main event with Khabib Nurmagomedov due to not being able to make weight, a replacement was needed.

Paul Felder reacts to being "slapped in the face" with back-to-back cancelled bouts
Tom Taylor - June 28, 2018
The year 2018 has not been particularly kind to UFC lightweight contender Paul Felder. After a strong 2017 campaign, Felder looked to kickstart the new year with an April showdown with ranked lightweight contender Al Iaquinta. The bout was supposed to occur at UFC 223. Unfortunately for Felder, Iaquinta got the call to step in against Khabib Nurmagomedov in the card’s last-minute minute main event. And just like that, he was without a fight. His first bout of 2018 had been deferred indefinitely.

Paul Felder appears to hint at main event showdown with James Vick
Tom Taylor - April 23, 2018
Originally, lightweight striking specialist Paul Felder was expected to battle Al Iaquinta at UFC 223. When Iaquinta was called upon for a last-minute title fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov, however, Felder was left without a fight. From the looks of it, the UFC could be rewarding Felder for his trouble. On Sunday afternoon, the lightweight took to Instagram with a not-so-subtle suggestion that he’s been offered a fight with James Vick in the main event of an upcoming fight night.

VIDEO | Paul Felder Has Strong Criticisms Over The UFC's Unofficial Most Violent Title
Justin Golightly - December 14, 2017
Eddie Alvarez’s fight with Justin Gaethje came and went and it was everything they said it would be and more. Leading up to the fight, Alvarez created an unofficial title forged in violence that would be up for grabs in their UFC 218 bout. His jaw swollen like it contained a softball, Alvarez captured that invisible belt and put himself back in title contention for the lightweight strap. The brutal and grueling war these two put on, while crowd-pleasing, had Paul Felder looking at things in a completely different way. …These guys are potentially damaging their careers. “That’s the goal, right? Hit and don’t get hit. That’s why I train so hard in camp and I spar and we do everything so specifically because I want to get in there and I want get the job done. […] I’m always prepared for a three-round war, but I’m just not trying to be in them. You’ve got Eddie [Alvarez], who’s trying to be the ‘Most Violent Guy,’ and [Justin] Gaethje, who’s looking for an equal. Go ahead. You guys can go and fight over that. Meanwhile, I’ll silently be knocking everyone out and working my way to the top 10, top five, and sneak right in there and take that title shot from you guys.”
