Rafael dos Anjos reacts to Conor McGregor’s retirement announcement
Tuesday afternoon UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor left the MMA world confused after he took to Twitter to announce his retirement.
While many suspected that the Tweet was a ‘troll job’ by McGregor, sources revealed that McGregor was not joking when he announced his retirement. This was then followed up by a Tweet from McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh, who revealed that McGregor was in fact retiring.
Rafael dos Anjos, who was supposed to fight McGregor at UFC 196 on March 5th, took to Twitter to react to the announcement:
Mcgregor said his not running away from the adversity and announce retirement, can someone explain me that? #frouxo

McGregor is currently slated to fight Nate Diaz, who also announced his ‘retirement’ this morning, at UFC 200 on July 9th.
