Randy Brown wants fines increased for missing weight following opponent's weigh-in fail at UFC Vegas 39

Adam D Martin - October 8, 2021

UFC welterweight Randy Brown wants to see the fines increased for missing weight following his opponent’s weigh-in fail before UFC Vegas 39. Brown stepped onto the scale at 170.5lbs, a shade under the 171lbs non-title welterweight limit at Friday’s UFC Vegas 39 weigh-ins, but his opponent failed to make the weight. Jared Gooden stepped onto the scale at 174lbs, and Brown then had to decide whether or not to accept the fight. He ultimately decided that he would take the fight as planned, with a 20% purse fine for Gooden. That means Brown will get 20% of Gooden’s purse win or lose. However, Gooden is still a relative newcomer to the UFC, so the extra money isn’t much.

Randy Brown responds to Mickey Gall's post-fight callout

Tom Taylor - August 26, 2018

On the undercard of Saturday night’s UFC Lincoln card, welterweight prospect Mickey Gall sought to rebound from the first loss of his career: a decision loss to Randy Brown. He did so in truly emphatic fashion, choking out his opponent George Sullivan just 69 seconds into the first round. Over the course of his MMA career, Mickey Gall has developed a reputation for his post-fight callouts. Yet while his past callouts of CM Punk and Sage Northcutt were quite clever, his more recent callouts have not been as well-received by the MMA community. His UFC Lincoln callouts generated the most ire yet.

Randy Brown to Face Belal Muhammad at UFC 208

bjpenndotcom - February 4, 2017

Randy Brown will be fighting at UFC 208 after the UFC was able to find him a replacement opponent. Palestine’s Belal Muhammad has stepped up and will now fight Brown at UFC 208. After Randy Brown’s original opponent George Sullivan was pulled from UFC 208 due to USADA violation, it seemed all hope was lost for Brown when it came to UFC 208.
