While Jacare Souza may be the #3 ranked UFC middleweight, it’s #13 ranked Dan Henderson who is getting the next middleweight title shot. Henderson will be fighting UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping in October according to the middleweight champ, who also revealed that the fight would likely be going down in Manchester, England.

Jacare spoke to Globo to explain why he feels as though Henderson doesn’t deserve a title shot. In addition, Jacare revealed his own plan for getting a title shot:

“I do not see how practically defined this fight. Even because they have not signed the contract and while not sign, the bosses are the fans. And the fans are not enjoying this buffoonery. He’s a guy that is not accredited to fight for the belt. I see my sport like the Olympics. It has a swimmer is super tough guy, Cesar Cielo, Olympic champion super. And if not rated, will not come to that of Rio [Olympics]. And has Michael Phelps, who is a beast, qualified, is coming to the Olympics. So I think: qualified, fight. He did not qualify, do not fight. And Dan Henderson, you are not rated to fight. This has left me sad. I will lose some fights there too to see if I win this chance to fight for the belt.”

Jacare is coming off a 1st round TKO win over Vitor Belfort at UFC 198. If a title shot is out of the picture for Souza, who would you like to see him fight?
