Sage Northcutt vs. Enrique Marin added to July’s UFC 200 event
“Super” Sage Northcutt (7-1 MMA) will return to the octagon at July’s blockbuster UFC 200 event in Las Vegas when he squares off with Enrique “Wasabi” Marin (8-3 MMA) in a lightweight tilt.
Northcutt will be looking to rebound from his first career mixed martial arts setback, which he suffered via submission to short-notice replacement Bryan Barberena at January’s UFC on FOX 18 event.
Prior to that, “Super” Sage had earned back-to-back stoppage wins under the Zuffa banner, submitting Cody Pfister and earning a TKO victory over Francisco Trevino in the process.
Meanwhile, Enrique Marin made his UFC debut at November’s UFC Fight Night 78 event where he suffered a close split-decision loss Erick Montano. Prior to the setback, “Wasabi” had put together an impressive six-fight win streak on the regional circuit, which included five submission victories.
UFC 200 takes place July 9 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is headlined by a welterweight rematch between current featherweight champ Conor McGregor and perennial lightweight contender Nate Diaz.
