The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale medical suspensions

This past weekend in Las Vegas, the UFC hosted the Ultimate Fighter season 24 Finale, which was headlined by a flyweight title fight between flyweight kingpin Demetrious Johnson, and TUF 24 winner Tim Elliot. In the first round, Elliot left fight fans stunned as he nearly pulled off what arguably could have been the biggest upset in MMA history as he nearly submitted the flyweight champ.

In the co-main event, TUF season 24 coaches Joseph Benavidez and Henry Cejudo squared off in a pivotal flyweight fight. After having a point deducted in the first round, Cejudo controversially lost a split decision, which resulted in UFC President Dana White texting him after the fight, apologizing for the judging.

Tim Elliott: suspended until Jan. 3 with no contact until Dec. 25

Henry Cejudo: needs left hand X-ray, if “positive” then needs doctor clearance or suspended until June 2; minimum suspension until Dec. 25 with no contact until Dec. 18

Jake Ellenberger: needs left foot X-ray or MRI, if “positive” then needs doctor clearance or suspended until June 2; minimum suspension until Jan. 3 with no contact until Dec. 25

Jared Cannonier: suspended until Dec. 25 with no contact until Dec. 18

Sara McMann: suspended until Jan. 18 with no contact until Jan. 3

Ryan Benoit: needs nose X-ray or MRI, if “positive” then needs doctor clearance or suspended until June 2; minimum suspension until Jan. 3 with no contact until Dec. 25

Gray Maynard: suspended until Jan. 18 with no contact until Jan. 3 for left eyebrow laceration

Rob Font: must have follow-up MRA in two years, due Dec. 1, 2018

Matt Schnell: suspended until Jan. 18 with no contact until Jan. 3

Jamie Moyle: suspended until Jan. 18 with no contact until Jan. 3 for laceration above left eye

Elvis Mutapcic: suspended until Jan. 18 with no contact until Jan. 3 for left frontal scalp laceration

Devin Clark: needs right thumb X-ray, if “positive” then needs doctor clearance or suspended until June 2

Fighters not listed above received just the minimum 7-day suspension, and will once again be eligible to fight as of December 10th.
