UFC 209 broadcast team announced
In just two weeks, fight fans will tune into a highly anticipated night of fights for UFC 209 on March 4th. The event will be headlined by a welterweight title fight between Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson, in a fight which will serve as a highly anticipated rematch for the UFC welterweight championship.
The first time the pair fought, the fight served as Woodley first welterweight title defense since winning the UFC welterweight championship by knocking out Robbie Lawler at UFC 201. The fight was an extremely competitive one that saw Woodley retain the welterweight championship after the judges scored the fight a majority draw.
In the co-man event, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson will compete for the interim lightweight title in a highly anticipated fight which will result in one man earning themselves an undisputed lightweight title fight with Conor McGregor when the champ returns to the Octagon.
With the recent departure of Mike Goldberg from the UFC’s broadcasting team, there has been much speculation as to who will join Joe Rogan in the broadcasting booth for the highly anticipated pay-per view event. The duo, was actually announced as a trio, via social media. Mookie Alexander released the names of the trio, with Jon Anik, and Dominick Cruz being the two men who will be joining Rogan in the broadcasting booth.
