Pros react to Max Holloway’s TKO victory over Jose Aldo

Hawaiian Max Holloway shocked the crowd in Rio de Janeiro tonight by finishing hometown favorite Jose Aldo with strikes in the main event of UFC 212.

Aldo had a very successful opening round against Holloway, but by the end of round two it was clear that the tide was turning in favor of the Hawaiian.

In round three “Blessed” landed a hard right hand that sent Aldo crashing to the canvas. From there, Max took full mount and began raining down ground and pound on his Brazilian foe. Although Aldo showed a ton of heart, the referee was eventually forced to step in and call a stop to the contest with just under a minute to go in round three.

With the victory, Max Holloway extended his current win streak to eleven in a row and is now the KING of the featherweight division.
