At UFC Brooklyn, UFC flyweight champion Henry Cejudo defeated UFC bantamweight champion via first-round TKO. Unfortunately for him, some members of the MMA community — particularly Dillashaw — feel the stoppage was early. Previously, Henry Cejudo stated that he’d be interested in giving TJ Dillashaw an immediate rematch, however likely only at 135 pounds, for Dillashaw’s bantamweight title.

Miocic, the former champion of the heavyweights, last fought in July 2018 when he took on the light heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier in a super fight of epic proportions.

Last weekend, in the co-main event of the exciting UFC Fortaleza card, streaking featherweight contender Renato Moicano took on one of the toughest challenges of his impressive career as he battled former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo Jr. Unfortunately for Moicano and his growing fanbase, Aldo proved to be a bit too much too soon. The former champ won the fight by standing TKO in the second round.

However, while his resume looks impressive, Poirier has still yet to fight for the UFC lightweight title. Instead, he has had to keep on fighting top contenders, until finally he said he’d only be accepting title fights or money fights henceforth.

Last Saturday night, in the co-main event of UFC Fortaleza, former UFC featherweight champ Jose Aldo stepped into the cage with a fellow Brazilian in Renato Moicano. Aldo looked every bit an MMA great in this fight, thumping Moicano to a second-round TKO victory. While this was the outcome he sought, however, he did not take great pleasure in defeating one of his countryman, and a fighter still on the come-up.

Amanda Nunes, who now holds the UFC bantamweight and featherweight titles, is currently linked to a UFC 237 showdown with former bantamweight champ Holly Holm — though the fight is not official yet. If this fight does happen, it sounds as though it could be the last for Amanda Nunes.

As always, the fans in the building were incredibly excited and passionate — so much so that former UFC lightweight and featherweight champ Conor McGregor now wants to fight in the country. What an amazing atmosphere at UFC Brazil tonight.I would LOVE to compete there for all the passionate Brazilian fans at some stage of my career.I was so close to securing a bout in Rio last year. Last night, in the main event of the stacked UFC Fortaleza card on ESPN+, former World Series of Fighting bantamweight king Marlon Moraes avenges his only UFC loss, defeating the always tough Raphael Assuncao by first-round submission. With this dominant victory, Marlon Moraes is now inarguably the top contender for TJ DIllashaw’s UFC bantamweight title. Yet having recently watched Dillashaw come up short in a flyweight title fight with Henry Cejudo — a fight he lost by first-round TKO — Moraes says he isn’t sure this fight is an opportunity Dillashaw deserves.

Speaking on Twitter after the fight, the Irish MMA star shared his thoughts on the passionate fans that turn up for the UFC’s cards in Brazil, and announced that he hopes to compete in the country before his career draws to a close.
