Conor McGregor is backing Dillon Danis in his boxing debut. It was announced on Tuesday that Dillon Danis will make his boxing debut on Oct. 14 against Logan Paul in England. It is a massive fight and one that had been worked on in the past but never came to fruition due to Paul suffering a knee injury while wrestling.

While initially it looked like an Adesanya vs. Dricus Du Plessis (20-2 MMA) was in the cards, after the latter’s TKO victory over Robert Whittaker (24-7 MMA) at UFC 290, then came the announcement that ‘Stillknocks’ was injured and wouldn’t be available to fight in September.

Cory Sandhagen has said he’s spoken to UFC president Dana White following his uneventful win over Rob Font last weekend. On Saturday night in the main event of UFC Nashville, Cory Sandhagen defeated Rob Font via unanimous decision. It was a dominant performance and win, but it wasn’t particularly exciting. A lot of fans and pundits criticized Sandhagen, but the contender did eventually note that he was suffering from a torn tricep and a bicep injury.

Sandhagen entered the scrap coming off back-to-back wins over Marlon Vera and Song Yadong in precious fight night main events. Prior to the back-to-back wins, Sandhagen had lost two in a row to Petr Yan for the interim belt and a controversial split decision to TJ Dillashaw. The catchweight main event result, while very positive for ‘Sandman’, has also left the fighter injured and in need of surgery.

The highly anticipated catchweight main event did not result in the fire fight most fans were hoping for. Cory Sandhagen utilized his grappling skills to keep Rob Font pinned on the canvas for the majority of their twenty-five-minute affair. While it wasn’t the most exciting performance, it was a strong showing for ‘The Sandman’.
