UFC lightweight contender Beneil Dariush has reflected on his loss to Charles Oliveira. The two lightweights clashed in the co-main event of UFC 289 in June. Heading into the contest, Beneil Dariush was riding arguably the greatest run in his career. Riding an eight-fight winning streak, he defeated names such as Tony Ferguson and Mateusz Gamrot in that stretch.

It was recently announced that St-Pierre would return to competition as he is set to grapple at the UFC Fight Pass Invitational on Dec. 14. Although no opponent has been announced, several people have expressed interest in it, including Demian Maia. Most recently it was a fellow former UFC champion in Luke Rockhold who threw his name in the hat to be GSP’s grappling opponent.

Justin Gaethje is now interested in fighting Conor McGregor. Gaethje has spoken publicly in the past that McGregor had turned him down and it was a fight that he wanted. However, it never came to fruition and after Gaethje became the BMF champion at UFC 291, the Irishman said he would KO Gaethje with one shot. Yet, Gaethje took aim at McGregor and said he didn’t have much interest in the fight.

Former UFC contender Nate Diaz doesn’t forsee Conor McGregor fighting Michael Chandler. ‘The Notorious’ has been out of the cage since a stoppage loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021. The former double-champion broke his leg in the final seconds of the first round, prompting him to be on the shelf for over two years. During that time, Conor McGregor famously left USADA to recover from the injury.

There, he faced Dustin Poirier in a rematch of their April 2018 classic, where ‘The Diamond’ won by fourth-round knockout. On Saturday, Justin Gaethje returned the favor, scoring a second-round head kick stoppage.

Conor McGregor doesn’t think Dustin Poirier has a Hall of Fame resume. After Poirier suffered a headkick KO loss at UFC 291, he spoke to Ariel Helwani on Monday and Helwani claimed Poirier didn’t need the BMF belt and was already a Hall of Famer. However, Conor McGregor doesn’t think that is the case at all as he says all Poirier has is one lucky win over him. Outside of that, he hasn’t won a UFC title and doesn’t have the resume to be a Hall of Famer.

The result was a split decision victory for the 36 year old Pereira.
