The Brazilian had gone 3-2 over her previous five Octagon appearances ahead of this afternoon’s event.

Rousey (12-2 MMA) has not competed in MMA since suffering a devastating beatdown at the hands of Amanda Nunes in December of 2016. That setback to ‘The Lioness’ marked Ronda’s second straight defeat, as she was previously knocked out cold by Holly Holm in November of 2015.

Francis Ngannou was not impressed by the recent comments made by UFC President Dana White on the Pat McAfee show. Ngannou (17-3 MMA) of course signed with PFL (Professional Fighters League) last month after being offered ‘equity and leadership’ roles within the company. In addition to having a seat on the athlete advisory board and the role of PFL Africa chairman, the agreement also allows for ‘The Predator’ to seek out his own boxing matches.

UFC bantamweight contender Sean O’Malley believes Henry Cejudo has the edge against Marlon Vera. Earlier this week, the bout was announced between ‘Triple C’ and ‘Chito’. The two will return at UFC 292 in Boston, in what has turned out to be a bantamweight-filled card. In addition to Henry Cejudo vs. Marlon Vera, the card itself will be headlined by Aljamain Sterling’s return against Sean O’Malley.

There, Rose Namajunas attempted to make yet another title defense against Carla Esparza. However, the two ended up putting on one of the worst bouts in promotional history at UFC 274.

At this moment in time, it doesn’t seem as if Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler is going to happen. If it does, it isn’t going to happen anytime soon, given that McGregor isn’t back in the USADA testing pool and he also has legal issues to resolve.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Henry Cejudo and Marlon Vera will clash at UFC 292. It serves as a huge opportunity for both men to make a splash in the bantamweight division following recent defeats. Cejudo is currently listed as a big favorite, but we imagine those odds will get tighter as we get closer to fight night.

Elon Musk of Twitter and Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook have both reportedly agreed to face off with one another. It’s been well documented that Mark Zuckerberg has done some training in recent years, but we’re not sure the same can be said for Musk.

Aljamain Sterling believes Petr Yan was overrated and overhyped by the UFC and MMA fans. Yan is the former UFC bantamweight champion and entered his first title defense against Aljamain Sterling as a sizeable betting favorite. The fight ended in controversial fashion as Sterling won the contest by DQ as a result of Yan throwing an illegal knee. After that, the Russian won the interim belt by decision as he beat Cory Sandhagen but has since lost three straight fights as he lost to Sterling in the rematch, Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili.

Musk and FaceBook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg began taking shots at one another and both agreed to fight one another in the UFC. Although many assumed it was a joke, Dana White confirmed they are serious and he is hopeful he can get the fight done.

However, Julianna Pena wasn’t in action like originally expected. While she was slated to fight on the card against Amanda Nunes, the former champion withdrew due to injury and was replaced with Irene Aldana.

However, the women’s bantamweight champion was originally expected to face Julianna Pena in a trilogy bout. Nonetheless, ‘The Venezuelan Vixen’ pulled out due to injury, and Amanda Nunes faced ‘Robles’.

Heading into the fight, Emmett is a +280 underdog while the Georgian is a -390 favorite on FanDuel. The pros lean towards Topuria getting the job done as they believe the Georgian is the real deal.
