Logan Paul has reportedly sued Floyd Mayweather. Paul and Mayweather had an exhibition boxing match in June in a highly-anticipated fight. The fight reportedly sold around one million pay-per-views but months later, Paul recently revealed Mayweather had still never paid him, and now, his brother, Jake Paul revealed Logan has sued the former boxing world champion.

Tai Tuivasa is known for drinking beers out of a shoe but now he wants to do it out of Derrick Lewis’ cup. Tuivasa is set for the toughest test of his career as he will face Lewis in the co-main event of UFC 271. It’s a very intriguing matchup between two knockout artists and fan-favorites and should Tuivasa get his hand raised, he says he wants to drink a beer out of Lewis’ cup instead of a shoe. Lewis, of course, infamously threw his cup to a fan after his KO win over Chris Daukaus in December.

Israel Adesanya says he’s sticking by his word and won’t fight Kamaru Usman. Adesanya and Usman have both said in the past they won’t fight another as they want as many African champions in the UFC as possible. However, just recently, Usman’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz said he wants to see the fight happen.

Joe Rogan has been under fire recently for a variety of controversies stemming from his podcast. Now, the UFC commentator has labeled the attacks as a “political hit job”. Rogan has been under massive scrutiny for the past few weeks. While his attacks first stemmed from his controversial comments about COVID-19, the controversy took a turn last week. A video compilation was released showing the UFC commentator repeatedly using racial slurs on his podcast.

The UFC has officially undergone a roster purge. The promotion parted ways with another nine fighters today. The Twitter account “UFCRosterWatch” reported that nine fighters were officially removed from the UFC website, and removed from the UFC fan rankings. Whenever that happens, that generally means that the athletes were released from the promotion or did not have their contracts renewed.

Roxanne Modafferi will be ending her MMA career on Saturday night at UFC 271 against Casey O’Neill. Including her fights on The Ultimate Fighter, this will be Modafferi’s 50th career fight which is a milestone she wanted to reach. Modafferi has been a pro since 2003 and has fought the who’s who of women’s MMA while competing in countless organizations. However, she says the time is right for her to retire.

Vettori has never seen eye-to-eye with Adesanya ever since they first fought in 2018 where “The Last Stylebender” won by split decision. The Italian was irate as he thought he won the fight and he thought the same after he dropped a second decision to Izzy at UFC 263. That has only added to their rivalry and recently, Adesanya said he was never hurt in the fight against Blachowicz and felt bored in that scrap as well as the Vettori rematch.
