Both men claim they knocked down the other in sparring and given Ngannou’s feud with Gane’s coach, which is his ex-coach Fernande Lopez, it seemed as though Francis and Ciryl did not have much respect for one another.

They are former roommates and best friends that even cornered one another, but they had a massive falling out and now do not like one another. After years of trash-talking one another, they will finally fight and Covington says he will put Masvidal in the hospital.

Johnson has collaborated with popular sports manufacturer Under Armour for a few years now, creating a brand dubbed “Project Rock” that has seen clothing, gym accessories, and sneakers made reminiscent of the actor’s style. Johnson’s brand has now taken a huge step, as it’s the official footwear partner for the UFC.

To see her progress under American Top Team, my same gym, it’s like wow! I never worked out with her or sparred or anything but to some extent, the journey that she had was like shared with me. It just definitely hurts not to have her there I think.” Masvidal said (h/t WMMARankings). “But man, I’m just always wishing the best for her. She’s going to do her own thing….Obviously, it hurts and obviously, I want her to stay at American Top Team and I think we all do, we all love her. So it’s like a… It’s a devastating blow.”

In the main event of the first pay-per-view card in 2022, Ngannou is set to defend his heavyweight title for the first time against the interim champ, Ciryl Gane. It’s a fascinating fight due to them being ex-training partners, but a big storyline for the scrap is the fact this is Ngannou’s last fight on his contract.
